Recently moved to the UK?Your India tax checklist.

Moving from India to the UK changes your Indian tax status and your bank accounts, and brings UK tax into the picture. Since April 2025, new UK arrivals may claim a four-year relief on foreign income and gains. We sort out the India side and work with your UK accountant on the UK side.

The UK side.

From 6 April 2025 the UK replaced the remittance basis with a residence-based system. People arriving after ten years of non-UK residence can claim relief on foreign income and gains for their first four UK tax years, but must claim it on their Self Assessment. Your UK accountant handles this; we supply the Indian figures. See Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
